Radhe Krishna All,
From a broad base to a narrow focus
We find in the primary school, a child is taught a little bit of all subjects like Mathematics, Science, languages etc. The basic introduction to all subjects is given in early stages, so that when the student reaches the secondary school, it is easy for a student to pick the stream for pursuing education further. Then after school, the student has to narrow down his subject further. By now, since he/she is introduced to various subjects, he/she knows what is suited for him/her based on capability, aptitude and interest. When the student gets to doctoral level, the specialization becomes even more focussed within a given field. This is how one attains mastery and expertise.
Similarly, in initial stages of spiritual journey, it is good to know basics of all the paths to realization. True realization dawns when one adopts a path at the right point of time depending on his interest, aptitude and capacity to progress deeper and deeper in that chosen path until realization. The Satguru is the apt person to guide the aspirant in the right path.
Radhe Krishna All,
His limitless mercy
When we lift a lot of weight we get tired. When we walk a long distance, we get tired. But the mouth and ears never experience tiredness! We never get tired of talking or listening.
The Lord out of his immense mercy has created us like this so that we can always Chant His Name and listen to His glories.
Radhe Krishna All,
The worries
When one is in the death bed, he worries about all those sad faces around him. But the person attending on him is worried if he would receive the fee on time after his death.
The in-laws are worried if the person lighting the pyre would get a gold ring.
The sons are worried about the costs of funeral after his death.
The cremator is worried about getting the maximum money out of the entire episode.
The neighbours are worried if the cremation would be delayed.
No one worries about the person who is dying.
So instead of worrying about others, is it not best to worry about our own fate and find a way to avoid re-birth?
Radhe Krishna All,
Many may think it is egoistic to advise others. When a person with vision helps a blind man in walking on the road, it is only due to compassion and not due to egoism. Isn't it?
